The ascent bubble trouble door locked12/21/2023 The vehicle would start without issue but after 2 minutes of running the vehicle would stall and would be unable to be restarted. Despite properly being informed about other recalls I was not informed of this recall despite it being issued long after I owned the vehicle. "The vehicle had an active recall on ECM failure with the Matrix/Corolla models. "Tire Pressure monitor light stays on even though the tire pressure on all tires are in the correct limits" "Over the years have had to replace headlights several times both high beam and low beam." "Headlights became so dimmed they needed complete replacement" Will take to our independent mechanic, may be something simple. Clicker light and light indicating headlights remained on. "Just this evening the lighting behind the guages went out. "Failure of the door locks, tailgate glass, sporadic power window functionality." Probably because I accidentally ran in a ditch about 8 years ago, and the bumper "area" became somewhat loose. "car has recently begun rattling (it's 14 years old!). It has any number of squeaks and rattles" "The fit and finish on this car is disappointing. "Very noisy on bumpy roads as it's a hatchback and has loose boards in the back" It has had a couple of wrecks, and now has a damaged door where I sideswiped a pole beside a parking space, but it the engine and brakes work, it gets me where I need to go and I haven't been able to replace it with one that has features I'd prefer." 2006 and given it's age, that is not surprising. "Seals around doors are split in places and dried, and around windows too. "Common problem, leaking onto the floor of the passenger side from door seals and AC runoff." "Had to replace the water pump twice since purchase. know there has some deterioration of the door seals, a small break in one of them, sothat could be it, but n\" I have been unabl to identify the source. "There is an air whistling noise coming from the passenger side at highway speeds. "needs disc brake pads often, poor driving habits. "Two front brake pads needed to be replaced, rotors cleaned and rear brakes adjusted" "Normal wear exacerbated by the bad winter weather and the many potholes in NYC" The mechanic had to change the brakes on both front wheels. "The rotors were rusty and the calipers were partly frozen with rust. "6 months after replacing the front brakes, i was told i needed new ones as the front right caliper had locked and worn down the brakes" They also recommended to replace the shocks, but will have to do this on my next visit. "Had to replace the struts on the Matrix at around 90k miles. changed all 4 even though only 1 was leaking" Had to take it back a few days later because the new shock was not installed correctly the first time" Took it to a Toyota dealership for the replacement. "Strut broke and had to be completely replaced. (2007 Toyota Matrix Standard 1.8-L 4 Cyl) "The power steering return line was replaced due to a a leak found during a servicing check" "The problem was brought to our attention by a rattle from the right from of the car when going over the smallest bump." "The alignment was slightly off, probably due to the struts and was performed when the struts were replaced" "The alignment was needed due to the changing of struts" An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
